WWC Meeting Minutes

WWC monthly meeting was called to order by Lorre Koontz at 7:20 PM. Lorre welcomed members and then called for reports from the following officers: Membership: Mary Messina introduced a new member to the club. Theresa Johnson stated that the March 1 opening balance was $4,362.06. Current balance since then is $4,281.06.

Peggy Fee asked for specific time slot volunteers for the Yard Sale to be held on May 12 and asked for some men to help also. Also, buy or sell a booth. Information is on the website. Rebecca Cunningham gave a piece of candy to those who have already signed up to work at the Yard Sale. She also gave a prize for visiting our website today! Heather Hester spoke about the upcoming gourmet event and asked for ideas for the location of next year’s holiday auction for the committee to consider.

Lorre pointed out upcoming events on the white board.

It was moved and seconded to approve the following slate of officers for 2011 – 2012: Lorre Koontz, President; Cindy Streett, Vice President; Barb Hill, Treasurer; Mary Messina, Membership; Kae Huggins, Publicity (with Cece Peterson, Historian); and Summer Kinnard, Secretary. The motion carried.

A ballot for charities for this May’s presentation was passed out and then collected. Cindy Streett will tally & provide an e-mail voting opportunity.

Karen Knox introduced our speaker, Dicie Nathani, from the Holistic Vitality Center. Dicie did a presentation on the basics of Holistic Medicine.

Prizes were given out and the meeting was adjourned by Lorre at 8:40.

Next meeting is May 21 for our dinner. Note that it is the 3rd Monday.
