The Woodcroft Women's Club contributes to local charities with both volunteer time, and monetary and gift donations. This fall donations were made to both the Duke Children's Hospital Teddy Bear Ball and Share Your Christmas. Year round, members volunteer in various ways at DCRC, Alta Walk, Genesis Home, the Backpacks program of the Food Bank, and cleaning the WWC's adopted portion of the American Tobacco Trail.

Each club year, the membership votes on which charities and organizations will receive our fund-raising proceeds. This gives the club an opportunity to consider members' requests or particular areas of concern. Our club encourages donations to local Durham/Triangle organizations. We estimate that in our 25+ years of existence, we have raised over $100,000 to funnel back into the community.

For the 2010 - 2011 club year, along with volunteering time, food, and household items, we raised $3000 dollars for distribution of $500 to each of six charities for the Durham area.

2010 - 2011 recipients were:
Durham Food Bank
Genesis Home
Durham Crisis Response Center
Durham Rescue Mission
Send a Kid to Camp
Independent Animal Rescue

In recent years, we were pleased to contribute to the following charitable organizations:
