Provides students from very low- income families with a backpack filled with nutritious, non-perishable food each weekend to combat hunger and help them come to school Monday ready to learn. The program is a partnership with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and its Bayer Crop Science Backpack Program.

Please bring a contribution for the Back Packs to the November meeting. To be able to put items directly into the Eastway Elementary School Back Packs, we need 50 of something. We are asking members to bring 1-2 or more of one of these items:
Chef Boyardee Canned Pasta—pop top
Chef Boyardee Microwave bowls
Kraft Easy Mac & Cheese Original, Microwave individual servings (store brands are OK)
